The next Bush Traditions Gathering will be held 28th Sept to 1st Oct 2018 and note the new venue is Yass in the Hartigan Centre. Players, performers and dancers are welcome to enjoy a programme of music and dance workshops, poetry recitations, concerts and dances as well as hours of informal music sessions.

The basic idea of the weekend is to encourage participation in all aspects of our bush traditions - bush music, songs, dance, yarns, poetry. Hence there'll be workshops to learn tunes by ear or music, song workshops, dance music workshops, dances and concerts. The venue provides a terrific historical backdrop, locally brewed beer and excellent food.

The previous Gatherings in 2006 - 2017 have established this as a special event in the Australian folk music calendar. On-site camping adds to the community spirit of the weekend. The official website with more detail is here.
